The thermal decomposition treatment system for a resin material has: an extruder having a cylinder 12 into which a resin material is introduced, a heat source provided to the cylinder 12 to thermally decompose the resin material, a screw disposed within the cylinder 12 for transporting the resin material, a vent 14a for exhausting gas containing a plurality of components generated within the cylinder 12 by thermal decomposition of the resin material, and a first heat exchanger 14b connected to the vent 14a and liquefying part of the gas; and a second heat exchanger 15 for cooling and liquefying the remainder of the gas that has passed through the first heat exchanger 14b as a gas.
