An information processing system comprising: an information-collecting unit that collects information relating to a subject animal, which is an animal being assessed; a state assessment unit that assesses the state of the subject animals on the basis of the information acquired by the information-collecting unit; and an information provision unit that provides, to a user, provision information that includes information based on the result of assessment by the state assessment unit.
