Anti-skid device (1) for a wheel of a vehicle and relative production process, wherein the anti-skid device (1) comprises a band (2) having a closed circumferential line of development (100), the band (2) being shaped to be fitted on a tyre (99) of the wheel, for enclosing and covering at least a tread of the tyre (99); a fastening system (9) associated with the band (2) for fixing the band to the wheel, wherein the band (2) is made of warp knitted fabric (3) having a main knitting direction (101) arranged substantially parallelly to the circumferential line of development (100).
