The NFC method comprises: a first apparatus determining a target transmission rate between the first apparatus and a second apparatus, and sending indication information to the second apparatus, wherein the indication information is used for indicating the target transmission rate; and the target transmission rate is smaller than the highest transmission rate that can be supported between the first apparatus and the second apparatus, and is greater than a transmission rate that is being used by the first apparatus and the second apparatus.
