Zusammenfassung: | An electrode wire, comprising a core material (1), a middle layer (2) located outside the core material (1), and a surface layer (3) located outside the middle layer (2). The core material (1) is metal or alloy, the middle layer (2) comprises a γ-phase copper-zinc alloy layer (20), and the surface layer (3) intermittently covers the γ-phase copper-zinc alloy layer (20); and the γ-phase copper-zinc alloy layer (20) has a massive β-phase and/or β'-phase copper-zinc alloy at an interface between the γ-phase copper-zinc alloy layer (20) and the surface layer (3). In the electrode wire preparation process, a γ-phase copper-zinc alloy layer and a massive β-phase and/or β'-phase copper-zinc alloy at an interface between the γ-phase copper-zinc alloy layer and a surface layer are formed in the electrode wire by means of electroplating, stretching, heat treatment and stretching processes, and the wire cutting speed during wire electrical discharge machining can be increased.
