POLYACID BASED BINDER AND THE USE THEREOF

The present invention is directed to an aqueous solution suitable for bonding fibers, comprising a linear structure of polymer prepared by polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers comprising acrylic acid, and optionally at least one functional monomer other than acrylic acid. Moreover, the present invention is directed to a method for preparing a binder composition comprising at least one step of mixing the aqueous solution according to the present invention with saccharide compound or dispersion, use of the aqueous solution according to the present invention for preparing a binder composition, and a binder composition comprising the aqueous solution according to the present invention, and saccharide compound or dispersion. The binder composition could improve the strength of the fibrous product and at the same time provide water resistance. La présente invention concerne une solution aqueuse appropriée pour lier des fibres, comprenant une structure linéaire de polymère préparée par polymérisation de monomères éthyléniquement insaturés comprenant de l'acide acrylique, et éventuellement au moins un monomère fonctionnel autre que l'acide acrylique. De plus, la présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une composition de liant comprenant au moins une étape de mélange de la solution aqueuse selon la présente invention avec un composé saccharide ou une dispersion, l'utilisation de la solution aqueuse selon la présente invention pour préparer une composition de liant, et une composition de liant comprenant la solution aqueuse selon la présente invention, et un composé saccharide ou une dispersion. La composition de liant pourrait améliorer la résistance du produit fibreux et, en même temps, fournir une résistance à l'eau.
