The present utility model relates to an improved electrical connector, comprising at least one connector unit. The connector unit comprises an insulating shell, a cover plate, an operating member, an electrical conductor, and an elastic clamping member; the insulating shell is provided with a wiring hole; the operating member is rotatably arranged on the insulating shell; a retaining end of the operating member is provided with a retaining portion; and the elastic clamping member is provided with a retaining matching portion which can be matched with the retaining portion to realize a mutually clamped state and release the mutually clamped state. By means of mutual matching of the retaining portion and the retaining matching portion, when the operating member is pressed, an elastic free portion of the elastic clamping member does not rebound, and when the end portion of a conductive wire extends into the connector, the clamped state of the retaining end of the operating member can be released by using the end
