SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING CURVED SPEAKER GRILL

A method for mounting a flexible speaker grill on to an audio speaker housing, the method comprising: punching a plurality of holes through a thin, flat, piece of plastic to create a grill surface; affixing a scrim cloth to the rear surface of the grill surface; affixing two frame members to the grill surface, each said frame member to an opposite end of the grill surface to create a grill assembly; wrapping the grill assembly around an audio speaker housing with the scrim cloth toward the inside such that the grill assembly conforms to the adjacent surface of the speaker housing; mounting the two frame members to the speaker housing by screws into threaded holes in the speaker housing. L'invention concerne un procédé de montage d'une grille de haut-parleur flexible sur un boîtier de haut-parleur audio, le procédé consistant à : poinçonner une pluralité de trous dans une pièce mince, plate, en plastique pour créer une surface de grille ; fixer un tissu de canevas sur la surface arrière de la surface de grille ; fixer deux éléments de cadre sur la surface de grille, chacun desdits éléments de cadre à une extrémité opposée de la surface de grille pour créer un ensemble grille ; envelopper l'ensemble grille autour d'un boîtier de haut-parleur audio avec le tissu de canevas vers l'intérieur de telle sorte que l'ensemble grille se conforme à la surface adjacente du boîtier de haut-parleur ; monter les deux éléments de cadre sur le boîtier de haut-parleur avec des vis dans des trous filetés dans le boîtier de haut-parleur.
