Zusammenfassung:	The present application provides a data processing method and a terminal device. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving, from a server, a first cellular cell set corresponding to a first specific scene; when recognizing, by means of cell information of a plurality of cells on which the terminal device camps, that the terminal device continuously passes through m first regions, determining that the terminal device is in the first specific scene; and then reporting to the server the cell information of the plurality of cells on which the terminal device camps after determining that the terminal device is in the first specific scene.
