DATA MANAGEMENT METHOD AND CORRESPONDING DEVICE

The present application discloses a data management method, which comprises: in response to an user operation to access a target file via a first application, a first terminal device acquires metadata of the target file, wherein the target file is stored on a local storage device, the first application is different from the second application, the second application is an application exclusive to the local storage device installed on the first terminal device, and the metadata of the file stored on the local storage device is stored in the first terminal device; the first terminal device sends an access request to the local storage device, the access request comprising the metadata; and the first terminal device receives the target file sent by the local storage device. According to the scheme provided by the present application, the file on the local storage device can be queried without the second application exclusive to the local storage device, such that the use flexibility of the local storage device is
