L'invention concerne un procédé de commande d'un processus de production de poulets de chair, le procédé comprenant le suivi du niveau du gène cpa dans un échantillon de matières fécales mélangées provenant du troupeau de poulets de chair à tester à des moments consécutifs, une réduction du niveau cpa dans l'échantillon de matières fécales mélangées au fil du temps étant une indication du développement optimal des poulets de chair dans le processus de production en ce qui concerne leur statut de microbiome intestinal.
