The invention provides a system configured to aid in training a patient's breathing in preparation for a radiotherapy treatment, the system comprising a mobile device configured to prompt, by means of an application running on the mobile device, the patient to perform a breathing exercise, the exercise directed to improving breath control. The mobile device is configured to determine, by means of the application and based on input data, one or more values indicating a training progress. The training of a patient's breathing comprises training the patient to create a breath pattern so as to match a predetermined breath pattern and/or training the patient to reproduce a prior breath pattern of the patient and/or training breath-hold in preparation for breath-hold during radiotherapy treatment.
