A network monitoring unit is located between the sending and receiving devices, and monitors packets exchanged between the two to measure the latency and/or jitter. L'invention concerne des dispositifs, des systèmes et des procédés qui mesurent la latence et/ou la gigue subie sur une partie définie d'un trajet entre un dispositif d'envoi et un dispositif de réception. Une unité de surveillance de réseau est située entre les dispositifs d'envoi et de réception, et surveille des paquets échangés entre les deux pour mesurer la latence et/ou la gigue.
