A launch mechanism 300 engages with the carrier 200 between an engagement and a release position 304 to accelerate the carrier 200 along the cable 102, and to disengage from the carrier 200 at the release position 304. Un manège à fermeture à glissière lancé comporte un support (200) portant un utilisateur (202). Le support (200) est conçu pour se déplacer le long d'un câble suspendu tendu (102). Un mécanisme de lancement (300) vient en prise avec le support (200) entre une position de mise en prise et une position de libération (304) pour accélérer le support (200) le long du câble (102), et pour se désolidariser du support (200) au niveau de la position de libération (304).
