Zusammenfassung:	A user equipment (UE) is configured to transmit a request to an edge configuration server (ECS) comprising a list of authentication mechanisms supported by the UE, wherein the ECS is configured to select one authentication mechanism from the list of authentication mechanisms and receive a response to the request from the ECS, wherein response comprises an indication of the selected authentication mechanism. Un équipement utilisateur (EU) est configuré pour transmettre une demande à un serveur de configuration de périphérie (ECS), comprenant une liste de mécanismes d'authentification pris en charge par l'EU, l'ECS étant configuré pour sélectionner un mécanisme d'authentification dans la liste de mécanismes d'authentification et recevoir une réponse à la demande provenant de l'ECS, la réponse comprenant une indication du mécanisme d'authentification sélectionné.
