COMBINATION OF OLIGONUCLEOTIDES FOR MODULATING RTEL1 AND FUBP1

The present invention relates to combinations of Regulator of telomere elongation helicase 1 (RTEL1) and Far Upstream Element-Binding Protein 1 (FUBP1) inhibitors, such as oligonucleotides (oligomers) that are complementary to RTEL1 or FUBP1, respectively, leading to modulation of the expression of RTEL1 and FUBP1 or modulation of RTEL1 and FUBP1 activity. The invention in particular relates to a combination of an inhibitor of RTEL1 and an inhibitor of FUBP1 for use in treating and/or preventing a disease, preferably a hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, in particular a chronic HBV infection. The invention in particular relates to the use of a combination of RTEL1 and FUBP1 inhibitors for destabilizing cccDNA, such as HBV cccDNA. Also comprised in the present invention is a pharmaceutical composition, a kit and the use thereof in the treatment and/or prevention of a HBV infection. La présente invention concerne des combinaisons de régulateurs de l'hélicase 1 d'allongement de télomères (RTEL1) et d'inhibiteurs de la protéine 1 de liaison à l'élément en amont éloigné (FUBP1), tels que des oligonucléotides (oligomères) qui sont complémentaires à RTEL1 ou FUBP1, respectivement, conduisant à la modulation de l'expression de RTEL1 et FUBP1 ou à la modulation de l'activité de RTEL1 et FUBP1. L'invention concerne en particulier une combinaison d'un inhibiteur de RTEL1 et d'un inhibiteur de FUBP1 pour une utilisation dans le traitement et/ou la prévention d'une maladie, de préférence d'une infection par le virus de l'hépatite B (VHB), en particulier d'une infection chronique par le VHB. L'invention concerne en particulier l'utilisation d'une combinaison d'inhibiteurs de RTEL1 et FUBP1 pour déstabiliser l'ADNccc, tel que l'ADNccc du VHB. La présente invention concerne également une composition pharmaceutique, un kit et leur utilisation dans le traitement et/ou la prévention d'une infection par le VHB.
