Zusammenfassung:	The present application relates to a lithium ion battery and a separator (10) thereof. The separator (10) comprises: a base film (100); and a coating (200), which covers the surface of the base film (100), wherein the coating (200) comprises a main body (210), and an edge portion (220), which is arranged on the periphery of the main body (210), the thickness of the edge portion (220) being greater than that of the main body (210), and the edge portion (220) being provided with several patterns (230) arranged at intervals. The lithium ion battery comprises: a positive electrode sheet (20); a negative electrode sheet (30); and the separator (10), which is arranged between the positive electrode sheet (20) and the negative electrode sheet (30).
