This addresses the problem of compensating for the curvature of the surface when determining coating thickness. L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour déterminer l'épaisseur de couches de revêtement d'une surface incurvée lors de l'examen de la surface par un rayonnement térahertz. Le procédé consiste à mesurer le rayonnement réfléchi détecté et à appliquer un facteur de correction pour obtenir les épaisseurs des couches. Cela permet de résoudre le problème de compensation de la courbure de la surface lors de la détermination de l'épaisseur du revêtement.
