A method for displaying a video thumbnail, and a device and a storage medium, wherein the method is applied to an electronic device. The method comprises: when an electronic device is in a portrait mode, capturing, by means of a camera, a first video having a first aspect ratio; displaying, in an album, a first thumbnail corresponding to the first video, wherein the aspect ratio of the first thumbnail is consistent with the first aspect ratio; when the electronic device is in a landscape mode, capturing, by means of the camera, a second video having a second aspect ratio; and displaying, in the album, a second thumbnail corresponding to the second video, wherein the first thumbnail and the second thumbnail are displayed in the same row, and the aspect ratio of the second thumbnail is inconsistent with the second aspect ratio.
