This data processing device (100) comprises: a verification unit (134) for verifying whether or not first and second image data are derived from the same image data; a comparison unit (135) for comparing the picture quality of the first image data with the picture quality of the second image data when the first and second image data are derived from the same image data; and a display control unit (131) for causing a display unit (110) to display one of the first and second images as a selectable image that can be manipulated using an input unit (120), and causing the display unit (110) to display the other of the first and second images as a non-selectable image that cannot be selected using the input unit (120), on the basis of the result of comparison by the comparison unit (135).
