Disclosed is an electronic device for performing coupling between external electronic devices. The electronic device may comprise a transceiver, a display, and at least one processor operatively connected to the transceiver and the display. The at least one processor may be configured to: receive, from a first external electronic device, first information comprising device capability information and coupling information of the first external electronic device; receive, from a second external electronic device, second information comprising device capability information and coupling information of the second external electronic device; determine whether the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device can be set on the basis of the device capability information of the first external electronic device and the device capability information of the second external electronic device; determine whether or not to display a user interface for coupling on the basis of the coupling information of the first external electronic device and the coupling information of the second external electronic device when it has been determined that the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device can be set; display the user interface for coupling through the display when it has been determined to display the user interface for coupling; identify a user input through the user interface for coupling displayed through the display; transmit first connection information to the first external electronic device in response to identifying the user input; and transmit second connection information to the second external electronic device.
