L'invention concerne des procédés et des composés pour l'inhibition irréversible d'une ADN polymérase, comprenant l'ADN polymérase β (pol β). L'invention concerne également des procédés pour induire une létalité synthétique dans une cellule cancéreuse déficiente du cancer du sein de tpye 1 (BRCA1), le procédé comprenant l'inhibition de l'ADN polymérase β par l'administration d'un inhibiteur de pol β selon l'invention.
