Zusammenfassung:	A monitoring arrangement (10) for monitoring a surge through a surge arrester (12), said surge arrester (12) being adapted to be connected to a power network in order to protect an electrical equipment (14) of the power network against incoming surges passing through the surge arrester (12). The monitoring arrangement (10) detects a reignition surge, which reignition surge has been occasioned by a switching of a circuit breaker. The monitoring arrangement (10) further calculates the number of detected reignition surges. L'invention concerne un dispositif de surveillance (10) pour surveiller une surtension à travers un parasurtenseur (12), ledit parasurtenseur (12) étant adapté pour être connecté à un réseau électrique afin de protéger un équipement électrique (14) du réseau électrique contre les surtensions entrantes traversant le parasurtenseur (12). L'agencement de surveillance (10) détecte une surtension de réallumage, ladite surtension de réallumage ayant été provoquée par une commutation d'un disjoncteur. Le dispositif de surveillance (10) calcule en outre le nombre de pics de réallumage détectés.
