A faucet mounting assembly (1070) includes a nozzle (1020) coupled to a faucet (1000), a conical nut (1090) threadably coupled to an inner portion of the nozzle (1020), and a receiving clip (1080) coupled to an inner surface of the faucet (1000) and configured to receive the conical nut (1090) within. The receiving clip (1080) includes one or more sets of tabs (1210) configured to flex between a normal position and an extended position and a slot (1225) defined between the one or more sets of tabs (1210) and disposed along a midpoint of the receiving clip (1080); the tabs (1210) flex into the extended position when the conical nut (1090) is repositioned in and out of engagement with the receiving clip (1080).
