Zusammenfassung:This cable intermediate connection structure formation method connects the end portion of a first power cable on one end side and the end portion of a second power cable on one end side to each other, said first power cable comprising at least a first cable conductor, a first cable insulating body, and a first external semi-conducting layer from the center toward the outer circumference, said second power cable comprising at least a second cable conductor, a second cable insulating body, and a second external semi-conducting layer from the center toward the outer circumference. The cable intermediate connection structure formation method has: a first power cable cutting step of, for the first power cable in which the first external semi-conducting layer on the one end side is exposed, step-peeling and cutting the one end side of the first power cable toward the other end side using a cutter, exposing the one end side of the first cable conductor and the one end side of the first cable insulating body, and forming a first cut end portion having a waving width of 6.0 mm or less on the one end side of the first external semi-conducting layer and a first cut slope portion extending from the first cut end portion to the other end side and having a rising angle of more than 5.00 degrees to 8.00 degrees or less; a second power cable cutting step of, for the second power cable in which the second external semi-conducting layer on the one end side is exposed, step-peeling and cutting the one end side of the second power cable toward the other end side using the cutter, exposing the one end side of the second cable conductor and the one end side of the second cable insulating body, and forming a second cut end portion having a waving width of 6.0 mm or less on the one end side of the second external semi-conducting layer and a second cut slope portion extending from the second cut end portion to the other end side and having a rising angle of more than 5.00 degrees to 8.00 degrees or less; a connection step of connecting the end portion of the first cable conductor on the one end side, which is exposed in the first power cable cutting step, and the end portion of the second cable conductor on the one end side, which is exposed in the second power cable cutting step, to each other in a conductor connection portion; and a mounting step of forming a cylindrical semi-conductor portion at least on the outer circumference of the conductor connection portion, on the outer
