APPARATUS FOR LIMB REHABILITATION AND METHOD OF USING SAME

The claimed device relates to the field of medicine, and more particularly to neurology and rehabilitation, and can be used as a robotic device within a system for the motor rehabilitation of patients, for example following a stroke or other diseases and injuries of the central nervous system and the limbs. An object of the claimed invention is to provide for the movement of a limb undergoing rehabilitation during the performance of exercises directed toward the motor rehabilitation of patients in the case of diseases and injuries of the central nervous system or the limbs, which cause a motor deficit in the limbs. The invention can also be used in sporting apparatus and home exercise apparatus of various types.
