Zusammenfassung:The present invention is related to agents capable of binding to and inhibiting or antagonizing the action of IL-11 and/or IL-11RA for the treatment and/or prevention of abnormal uterine bleeding, which comprises heavy menstrual bleeding, prolonged bleeding, altered bleeding pattern, dysmenorrhea, as well as of the underlying diseases leiomyoma and endometriosis and the use of the agent to inhibit menstruation. Furthermore, the invention provides novel IL-11 antibodies. La présente invention concerne des agents aptes à inhiber ou à antagoniser et à se lier à l'action de l'IL-11 et/ou de l'IL-11RA, pour le traitement et/ou la prévention d'un saignement utérin anormal dont un saignement menstruel abondant, un saignement prolongé, un changement du saignement menstruel, une dysménorrhée, aussi bien que des affections sous-jacentes telles que les léiomyomes et l'endométriose ; et l'utilisation de ces agents pour inhiber les menstruations.
