La présente invention concerne un procédé de diagnostic in vitro d'une infection virale due à la présence d'un virus chez un individu, comprenant une étape de détection d'au moins un antigène spécifique dudit virus par un test immunologique réalisé sur un échantillon biologique dudit individu, caractérisé en ce que ledit échantillon biologique consiste en une combinaison de salive et de sécrétions du vestibule nasal antérieur dudit individu.
