Zusammenfassung:	Systems, methods, and membranes involving ion exchange membranes are disclosed. In an embodiment of the present invention, an ultrathin laminar layer made of inorganic nanosheets may be coated on one side or both sides of a polymeric anion exchange membrane (AEM), forming a composite AEM. Oxidation stability measurements may indicate that composite AEM provide superior oxidation resistance to exemplary polymeric AEMs and to commercial polymeric AEMs. La présente invention concerne des systèmes, des procédés et des membranes impliquant des membranes échangeuses d'ions. Dans un mode de réalisation de la présente invention, une couche laminaire ultramince constituée de nanofeuilles inorganiques peut être revêtue sur un côté ou les deux côtés d'une membrane échangeuse d'anions (AEM) polymère, formant une AEM composite. Des mesures de stabilité à l'oxydation peuvent indiquer que l'AEM composite fournit une résistance à l'oxydation supérieure à des AEM polymères données à titre d'exemple et à des AEM polymères commerciales.
