La présente invention concerne un procédé de coloration de fibres de kératine, comprenant l'application sur les fibres de kératine de deux compositions différentes comprenant deux composés différents qui sont aptes à former entre eux des liaisons covalentes, le procédé comprenant également un ou plusieurs composés choisis parmi des sels métalliques particuliers, des sels d'un métal appartenant au groupe des métaux de terres rares, en particulier des composés organométalliques, et des mélanges de ceux-ci, ainsi qu'un ou plusieurs agents colorants.
