L'invention concerne un kit (30) servant à protéger au moins un joint installé dans une cavité d'une pompe à carburant de transfert, la cavité comprenant une ouverture destinée à recevoir un arbre à l'intérieur de ladite cavité, ledit kit (30) comprenant un premier outil (40) et un second outil (40), le premier outil (40) comprenant une première poignée (41) et une première partie de protection (42), le second outil (50) comprenant une seconde poignée (51) et une seconde partie de protection (52), les première et seconde parties de protection (42, 52) étant formées de façon à être insérées dans la cavité de la pompe à carburant de transfert tout en recevant l'arbre à l'intérieur de ladite cavité.
