Zusammenfassung:	A method of monitoring the flow of a gas along a channel, the method including the steps of: Utilising at least a first ultrasonic transducer to project an alternating ultrasonic signal substantially transverse to the direction of gas flow and ultrasonic receivers to receive the signals; Sampling the ultrasonic signal after it traverses the gas flow; and Processing the sampled signal to determine properties of the gas and flow parameters relating thereto. Procédé de surveillance d'écoulement d'un gaz le long d'un canal, le procédé consistant : à utiliser au moins un premier transducteur à ultrasons pour projeter un signal à ultrasons alternatif sensiblement transversal à la direction d'écoulement de gaz et des récepteurs à ultrasons pour recevoir les signaux ; à échantillonner le signal à ultrasons après son passage dans l'écoulement de gaz ; et à traiter le signal échantillonné afin de déterminer des propriétés du gaz et des paramètres d'écoulement associés à ce dernier.
