Zusammenfassung:	An in vitro three-dimensional multicellular system for maintaining tissue such as heart tissue (e.g. human or other animal heart slices) under physiological conditions is provided. Heart tissue that is cultured using the system remains full viable and functional for at least 6 days. The system is thus suitable to continuously monitor the effects of drugs (e.g. cardiotoxicity) during in vitro testing. L'invention concerne un système tridimensionnel multicellulaire in vitro destiné à maintenir un tissu tel qu'un tissu cardiaque (par exemple, des tranches de cœur humain ou d'un autre animal) dans des conditions physiologiques. Le tissu cardiaque qui est cultivé à l'aide du système reste entièrement viable et fonctionnel pendant au moins 6 jours. Le système est ainsi approprié pour surveiller en continu les effets de médicaments (par exemple, la cardiotoxicité) pendant un test in vitro.
