CRUISE CONTROL METHOD FOR VEHICLE AND DEVICE

A cruise control method for a vehicle and a device, pertaining to the technical field of vehicle manufacturing. The method addresses the problem in which steady-speed cruise control of vehicles consumes a large amount of energy. The method is applicable to vehicle control systems. The method comprises: acquiring an actual vehicle speed of a vehicle at a current time instance; determining whether the actual vehicle speed at the current time instance is within a target range, wherein the target range is determined on the basis of a tolerance range of a target vehicle speed of the vehicle, and the tolerance range is an allowable fluctuation range for the target vehicle speed; if so, controlling, using a target value of a cruise torque, the vehicle to cruise; and if not, adjusting the target value to control the actual vehicle speed of the vehicle at a first time instance to be within the target range, wherein the cruise torque is a torque output by an engine of the vehicle from a crankshaft end, and the first ti
