TRANSITION CONTROL BETWEEN RADIO RESOURCE CONTROL STATES

A technique of triggering transition control between different RRC states of wireless terminal devices is described. A method aspect of this technique comprises receiving a request for an RRC state transition control for a terminal device, wherein the request includes at least one identifier associated with the terminal device. The method further comprises obtaining a temporal inactivity parameter associated with the at least one identifier, wherein the temporal inactivity parameter depends on an estimated period of time between two traffic activities of the terminal device. Further still, the method comprises triggering, based on the temporal inactivity parameter or a parameter derived on the basis of the temporal inactivity parameter, the RRC state transition control for the terminal device. Un aspect du procédé de cette technique consiste à recevoir une demande d'une commande de transition d'état RRC pour un dispositif terminal, la demande comprenant au moins un identifiant associé au dispositif terminal. Le procédé consiste en outre à obtenir un paramètre d'inactivité temporel associé audit identifiant, le paramètre d'inactivité temporel dépendant d'une période de temps estimée entre deux activités de trafic du dispositif terminal. En outre, le procédé consiste à déclencher, sur la base du paramètre d'inactivité temporel ou d'un paramètre dérivé sur la base du paramètre d'inactivité temporel, la commande de transition d'état RRC pour le dispositif terminal.
