The method comprises the following steps: S110, placing a powder to be modified into a reaction chamber, causing the reaction chamber to be in a vacuum state, and rotating and heating the reaction chamber, such that the powder is distributed within the reaction chamber; S120, alternately introducing a precursor and a purge gas into the reaction chamber, wherein the precursor reacts with the powder to form an oxide film on a surface of the powder; and S130, repeating S120 multiple times to form a plurality of oxide films on the surface of the powder, such that powder modification is completed, and the positive electrode material of a lithium-ion battery is obtained.
