The present invention is an outdoor unit of an air conditioner comprising a structure in which an oil separator is fixed to a partition plate using an auxiliary component, and a method for assembling an outdoor unit of an air conditioner. This outdoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a blower compartment, a machine compartment, and a partition plate partitioning between the blower chamber and the machine compartment, a compressor and an oil separator being accommodated in the machine compartment, wherein: the oil separator is fixed to the partition plate by an auxiliary component; and the auxiliary component is provided with a leg part fixed to the partition plate, and a bed part that is detachably attached to the leg part and that supports the oil separator.
