Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to an air conditioner and a control method therefor, and to a technology, which uses only minimum energy for lowering indoor humidity during a power-saving cooling operation and increases perceptible air current through flow paths that are individually separated. An air conditioner according to one embodiment comprises: a housing having a first inlet and a second inlet; a main outlet formed in the housing so as to discharge air flowing in through the first inlet; a guide outlet for discharging, to the main outlet, the air flowing in through the second inlet; a first flow path allowing the air flowing in through the first inlet to flow to the main outlet; a second flow path and a third flow path which are provided separately from the first flow path, and which allow the air flowing in through the second inlet to flow to the guide outlet; a first blower for blowing the air flowing in through the first inlet so as to discharge same through the main outlet; a second blower for guiding the air flowing in through the second inlet so as to discharge same to the guide outlet; an indoor temperature sensor for sensing indoor temperature; an indoor humidity sensor for sensing indoor humidity; a heat exchanger temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of a heat exchanger; and a control unit for determining a dew point temperature on the basis of the sensed indoor temperature and the sensed indoor humidity, controlling the frequency of a compressor so that the temperature of the heat exchanger is the determined dew point temperature or lower, and controlling the second blower so that the air flowing in through the second inlet passes through the second flow path and the third flow path, which are provided separately from the first flow path, so as to be discharged through the guide outlet in a predetermined amount.
