The PEMFC further includes a catalyst supported on the catalyst support material. L'invention concerne une pile à combustible à membrane échangeuse de protons (PEMFC). La PEMFC comprend un matériau de support de catalyseur formé d'un matériau métallique réactif avec H3O+, HF et/ou SO3- pour former des produits de réaction dans lesquels le matériau métallique représente un pourcentage molaire stable des produits de réaction. La PEMFC comprend en outre un catalyseur supporté sur le matériau de support de catalyseur.
