FUEL REFORMING SYSTEM

A control device in this fuel reforming system controls a steam/carbon ratio C/S in such a way as to suppress sulfur poisoning of a catalyst. The steam/carbon ratio S/C can be adjusted by controlling the amount of steam and/or the amount of fuel supplied to the catalyst. The amount of steam supplied to the catalyst is set depending on the amount of steam contained in exhaust gas, for example. The control device adjusts the steam/carbon ratio S/C by controlling the amount of fuel. The control device sets a higher target steam/carbon ratio Tsc the lower the temperature of the catalyst.
