MACHINE AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS, OPEN-WIDTH WASHING OF FABRICS

A method for continuous open-width washing of a fabric (T) comprises the steps of: * - controlling continuous introduction of the fabric (T) into a first tank (10) containing a washing liquid wherein, as the fabric is being introduced into the first tank it is constantly maintained at full width, * - controlling alternate pneumatic transfer of the fabric from the first tank to a second tank (12) and vice versa, said alternate transfer occurring a plurality of times with the fabric (T) still maintained in a flat position, * - controlling continuous removal of the fabric from the second tank (12) containing a washing liquid wherein, as the fabric is being removed from the second tank it is constantly maintained at full width. The pneumatic transfer from the first tank to the second tank and vice versa occurs using at least one pneumatic transfer device (30) that imparts a transfer speed (VT) to the fabric from the first tank (10) to the second tank (12) and vice versa that is much higher than the speed (VL) with which the fabric is introduced into the first tank and the speed (VL) with which the fabric is removed from the second tank. La présente invention concerne un procédé de lavage au large en continu d'un tissu (T), qui comprend les étapes consistant à : - commander l'introduction en continu de tissu (T) dans un premier bac (10) contenant le liquide de lavage, ledit tissu étant maintenu constamment à pleine largeur au fur et à mesure que le tissu est introduit dans le premier bac, - commander le transfert pneumatique alterné du tissu du premier bac vers un second bac (12) et vice versa, ledit transfert alterné se produisant plusieurs fois alors que le tissu (T) est maintenu dans une position à plat, - commander le retrait en continu du tissu du second bac (12) contenant le liquide de lavage, ledit tissu étant maintenu constamment à pleine largeur au fur et à mesure que le tissu est retiré du second bac. Le transfert pneumatique du premier bac vers le second bac, et vice versa, se produit à l'aide d'au moins un dispositif de transfert pneumatique qui confère une vitesse de transfert (VT) au tissu du premier bac vers le second bac, et vice versa, qui est bien supérieure à la vitesse avec laquelle le tissu est introduit dans le premier bac et à la vitesse avec laquelle le tissu est retiré du second bac.
