Zusammenfassung:The present disclosure relates to a portable electronic camera system (100) for obtaining a digital image, wherein the portable electronic camera system (100) comprises an illumination device (160) arranged to illuminate at least part of a scene with a flash, and an electronic camera device (110) comprising a control element (140), and a digital camera (120) arranged to capture an image of the scene. The control element (140) is arranged to communicate with the illumination device (160). The control element (140) is arranged to control the digital camera (120) and the illumination device (160). The control element (140) is arranged to control the digital camera (120) and the illumination device (160) to obtain a first pre image relating to the scene illuminated by ambient light and a flash of a first intensity; control the digital camera (120) and the illumination device (160) to obtain a second pre image relating to the scene illuminated by ambient light and a flash of a second intensity; obtain user information relating to calculation of a digital composite image; identify at least a first area of interest in the first pre-image and the second pre-image; and obtain a digital image by calculating the digital composite image based on the user information, the obtained first pre image and the obtained second pre-image. Obtaining the user information comprises obtaining for each area of interest at least one amplification factor, and calculating the digital composite image comprises amplifying the first pre-image and amplifying the difference between the first pre-image and the second pre-image in each area of interest with the corresponding amplification factor.
