Zusammenfassung: | This display device has: a base substrate; a thin-film transistor layer provided on the base substrate, the thin-film transistor layer including an upper-layer insulation film and an organic resin layer; a plurality of light-emitting elements provided on the thin-film transistor layer, the plurality of light-emitting elements including a common functional layer that is formed in common on sub-pixels that constitute a display area; a sealing film provided so as to cover the plurality of light-emitting elements, the sealing film being such that a first inorganic insulation film and a second inorganic insulation film are laminated in the stated order; a non-display area provided in island form within the display area; an opening that is provided within the non-display area and passes through the base substrate; a first frame-shaped protrusion that is a non-display area between the opening and the display area, the first frame-shaped protrusion being provided on the upper-layer insulation film at the periphery along the opening; and an organic buffer layer provided to the side surface of the first frame-shaped protrusion, the organic buffer layer being sandwiched between the first inorganic insulation film and the second inorganic insulation film. The first frame-shaped protrusion has a portion in which the area of a horizontal cross-section parallel to the upper surface of the base substrate decreases from the upper surface toward the bottom surface. The common functional layer is also provided in the non-display area. A slit that surrounds the first frame-shaped protrusion is formed in the common functional layer provided to the non-display area.
