Zusammenfassung:	A joint (20) comprising a first member (10); a second member (12) connected to the first member (10) such that a groove (22) is formed between the first member (10) and the second member (12); and a hollow seal (18) comprising a shrinkable material, the seal (18) being shrinked from a static expanded state (24) into the groove (22) by stimulation of the shrinkable material such that the seal (18) seals the groove (22). A motor (34) and an industrial robot (38) comprising a joint (20), and a method of installing a seal (18), are also provided. L'invention concerne un joint (20) comprenant un premier élément (10) ; un second élément (12) relié au premier élément (10) de telle sorte qu'une rainure (22) est formée entre le premier élément (10) et le second élément (12) ; et un joint d'étanchéité (18) creux comprenant un matériau rétractable, le joint d'étanchéité (18) étant rétracté d'un état expansé statique (24) dans la rainure (22) par stimulation du matériau rétractable de telle sorte que le joint d'étanchéité (18) étanchéifie la rainure (22).
