La présente invention concerne un système catalyseur contenant un catalyseur de métathèse contenant au moins un ligand carbène N-hétérocyclique et au moins un composé phénolique et un procédé pour la mise en œuvre de la métathèse sur des caoutchoucs nitrile pour réduire leur poids moléculaire à l'aide d'un catalyseur de métathèse contenant au moins un ligand carbène N-hétérocyclique (ligand NHC) et au moins un composé phénolique.
