Zusammenfassung: | An application of a zwitterionic compound in preparing a liquid crystal material on the basis of a dynamic scattering mode. A liquid crystal mixture, wherein a liquid crystal compound comprises a host liquid crystal and a dopant, said dopant being a zwitterionic compound. A liquid crystal dimming device comprising the liquid crystal compound, and an application of the liquid crystal dimming device. The present zwitterionic compound acts as a dopant and stabilizes the dynamic scattering of the liquid crystal material, solves the problem in the prior art in which a dopant has good DSM characteristics but a low threshold voltage, and prolongs the service life of DSM-based optical devices.
