Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are a converter cabinet and a converter. The converter cabinet comprises a support frame and multiple structural plates, wherein the support frame comprises multiple support columns (1) assembled with each other, and the multiple support columns (1) are arranged at intervals, so as to enclose a space for accommodating an electrical element, and two adjacent support columns (1) are welded to each other; and the multiple structural plates comprise a protection plate (3) located at an outer surface of the support frame, and the protection plate (3) and the support frame are riveted via a riveting member. When a converter uses the converter cabinet, the converter cabinet will have sufficient strength to support the weight of an electrical element in the converter, thereby facilitating rational arrangement of the electrical element in the converter cabinet, such that the converter cabinet can better protect the electrical element in the converter from extrusion, thereby improving the reliability of the c
