La présente invention concerne l'oxydation de p-hydroquinones alkylées. La présente invention concerne un procédé particulièrement efficace pour la production de p-benzoquinones alkylées comprenant une oxydation par peroxyde d'hydrogène aqueux en présence d'un sel de métal de transition, qui ne comprend pas de ligand polydentate lié à l'ion métallique, un acide organique et de l'eau.
