The purpose of the present invention is to provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner, the outdoor unit being provided with a structure in which a terminal block can be added to the front surface side that can be easily accessed by a field wiring worker without a big change in the disposition of an existing terminal block or the base shape of an attachment unit. Provided is an outdoor unit for an air conditioner provided with a heat exchanger, an outdoor fan, a compressor, and an electric component inside a casing, the outdoor unit being provided with a terminal block connected to the electric component, and a terminal block attachment part installed facing outward from the inward side of the casing. The terminal block is provided with a first terminal block and a second terminal bock which are disposed side by side in the vertical direction on the terminal block attachment part, the first terminal block being positioned on the bottom and the second terminal block being positioned on the top. The second terminal block is attached to a terminal block seat which is attached to the terminal attachment part, and the terminal block seat is provided with an attachment part to which the second terminal block is attached, and a fixing part for adjoining to the terminal block attachment part. The fixing part has a smaller area than the attachment part, and the attachment part is formed so as to protrude from the fixing part toward the first terminal block.
