The present invention implements a washing machine, which can protect, in a manner of not generating residuals, an ozone electrolyzing portion from damage and achieve continuous sterilization and deodorization effects. The washing machine comprises: a water supply passage (3a), for supplying water to a washing tub (1b); and an ozone generating device (4), for generating ozone in the water supply passage (3a). The ozone generating device (4) comprises the ozone electrolyzing portion (41), the ozone electrolyzing portion (41) being provided in an ozone generating region (Ar) which is provided substantially horizontally on a part of the water supply passage (3a), and a water supply valve (31) for opening and closing the water supply passage (3a) being provided upstream and above the ozone generating region (Ar).
